Inspired by the decadent spirit of Studio 54, this collection uses its atmosphere not just as visual reference, but as an emotional libretto—a symbol of freedom, sensuality, and extravagant self-expression. Visually, it plays on contrasts: luxury vs. perversion, glamour vs. irony, commerce vs. authorship.

The creative approach merges conceptual creative couture with ready-to-wear pieces, exploring how accessible products can support the creation of more complex, crafted garments. It reflects a 1970s model where commerce was an integral part of creative expression.

The collection includes six menswear looks—coats, jackets, trousers, custom-knit sweaters, and briefs. Design innovation focuses on cut, comfort, visual sophistication, and queer sensibility, opening a discussion on sizing systems in men‘s underwear.

Silhouettes draw from classic tailoring, enhanced with theatrical flair. Key elements include faux fur, black leather, glossy finishes, metallic tones, and bold color palette. Icons like Warhol, Halston, and Bianca Jagger echo throughout the designs.

This collection is for the man unafraid to stand out. A call for boldness, joy, and self-assurance. A manifesto of the contemporary designer navigating between vision and reality.

The collection is complemented by original accessories in the form of footwear and sunglasses, created in collaboration with industry professionals. These items further develop the overall concept of the collection and highlight the importance of accessories within the fashion industry and market context.

The footwear was co-designed by Arnošt Mikulička – a student of footwear design at Tomas Bata University in Zlín and an emerging designer who combines traditional shoemaking techniques with an experimental approach to materials and form. The model is based on the classic mule silhouette, with each pair crafted from a single piece of leather.

Three unique variations were created for the collection:
– made of black leather with hair, which adds textural depth and a natural character,
– in glossy deep red, offering a bold and aesthetic visual impact,
– and in smooth snow-white leather, emphasizing purity of form and timelessness.

Each pair was conceived as a unique authorial piece reflecting the concept of the collection. The footwear enhances the collection’s relaxed atmosphere while raising questions about the role of accessories in the contemporary fashion system – not merely as aesthetic elements, but as fully realized, conceptually grounded products.

The prototype sunglasses were co-created with designer and maker Vít Moravčík, who specializes in handcrafted eyewear made from premium cellulose acetate. Vít has long cultivated a unique artisanal know-how and works exclusively with high-quality, natural materials. Our collaboration followed earlier discussions and consultations during the development of my bachelor’s thesis. Thanks to his expertise, a valuable and fully functional prototype was brought to life – transcending the role of a fashion accessory to become a standalone design object with enduring material and aesthetic value.

The underwear collection was developed as part of a bachelor’s thesis and builds on research into iconic brands, with Calvin Klein serving as a key inspiration. His minimalist approach, strong visual identity, and emphasis on sex appeal significantly influenced the direction of the design.

The chosen briefs cut was supported by a user survey, confirming its popularity for offering the ideal balance of comfort, support, and flattering fit. The collection also responds to a common issue found in larger sizes—imbalanced proportions that compromise both comfort and visual appeal.

On a technical level, the collection utilizes knitting machines, allowing for material experimentation and the development of silhouettes that better accommodate various body types. The design process involved extensive testing of shapes, construction, and fabric elasticity, resulting in a product that is both functional and visually refined.

An important part of the development included sampling and the exploration of creating custom-branded elastic bands. However, priority was ultimately given to functionality and visual clarity. The final cut emerged from thorough testing across different male body types and reflects a synthesis of technical precision, wearability, and contemporary design.
